  2. ECO ART: THE “GREEN” GRAFFITI BY ANNA GARFORTH

Uno dei "graffiti verdi" di Anna Garforth

One of the “green graffiti” by Anna Garforth

How a graffito can be “green”? Simply being made of grass. Possible? After a look at the work of Anna Garforth the answer can only be positive. The young London artist creates real works of art and poetry with the simple moss, cultivated and pruned artfully to reproduce written and geometric shapes. Once attached to the vertical surface with natural glues the moss is destined to live and develop in symbiosis with it.

  3. WAIT FOR: “SANUK” THE SURFERS’S SHOES THAT RESPECT THE NATURE

I modelli Castaway e Dotty scelti da Wait! Green

You know the Sanuk shoes? I describe them in three adjectives: comfortable, colorful and sustainable.

The brand was founded in 1997 in California by the genius of Jeff Kelley, and immediately represents the philosophy of life surfer: fun, respect for nature and the freedom to express themselves. From the feet of athletes and celebrities overseas to Europe and to our country is a short step.

The company has contacted Wait!Green and asked us to experience first hand its products. The strong ecological footprint of each shoe – the use of reused and recycled materials such as yoga mats, jute, rubber and recycled PET – granting them worship from the first moment.

The two models I’ve chosen, the Castaway and Dotty, immediately struck me for the feeling of lightness and robustness. It almost seems not to have them at the foot as stated in the claim of the brand “Not-A-Shoes” because it guarantees full freedom of movement of the foot and a natural walking motion.

The colors and the options available here are really a lot and I invite you to take a look at the site to discover them all. And if you like stay tuned because it is an interesting contest coming right here on the blog that will allow you to win a pair for you!

Bamgoo, il sistema di trasporto eco via bici

The bicycle, we know, is the way of locomotion “green” par excellence. The designer Sara Urasini, a student at the Faculty of Arts and Design at the Free University of Bolzano, is doing talking about herself all the whole world with a very special model that combines sustainability and functionality in such a way as simple as it is innovative.

Her project, dubbed Bamgoo, is designed especially for the developing countries for which the bicycle is still the most common transport. We speak of a normal bicycle to which is mounted (with two simple hooks, applicable to most of the models in trade) a bamboo structure full of bags. READ MORE
