WAIT! FOR: RENAULT TWIZY TEST DRIVE IN MILAN WITH VANESSA INCONTRADA

Lo scorso sabato 22 Aprile Wait! è stato ospite di Renault Italia per provare in anteprima il veicolo green più atteso del momento: Renault Twizy. Baciati dal sole (dopo giorni di freddo e pioggia) abbiamo girato per Milano con una “compagna” d’eccezione: Vanessa Incontrada.

Per chi non lo conoscesse ancora, Twizy è una “minicar” 100% elettrica. Le dimensioni sono estremamente contenute: 234 centimetri di lunghezza, per 124 di larghezza e 146 di altezza. Ma l’accessibilità è (alla prova) davvero agevole. La versione base è priva delle porte ma si possono acquistare  come optional due semi-portiere apribili a farfalla. La Twizy ha un motore elettrico disponibile con due potenze: modello di accesso, Twizy 45, eroga 9 cavalli e si può già guidare a 14 anni, con il patentino, l’altra versione arriva a 17 cavalli, ma ci vogliono 16 anni e la patente A1 o 18 anni e la patente B. Le velocità massime sono, rispettivamente, di 45 e 80 orari. La trasmissione è ovviamente automatica e senza leva: con la pulsantiera sulla plancia si seleziona la marcia avanti o quella indietro. Davanti al volante, uno strumento digitale riunisce contachilometri, tachimetro, autonomia residua e l’econometro che aiuta a guidare in stile «green». L’autonomia dichiarata è di 100 km e la ricarica super-veloce: collegato il cavo integrato di tre metri a una presa domestica da 220V si fa il pieno in tre ore. Il prezzo? Da 6.990 euro.

Che dire della prova? Non sono decisamente un’esperta di automobili, ma Twizy mi ha decisamente entusiasmato. Piccola, agile, reattiva e, cosa che ha colpito tutti, silenziosissima. La guida è davvero piacevole, e la silenziosità del motore ci ricorda che lo stiamo facendo senza inquinare. Una sensazione, provare per credere, davvero unica.

This past Saturday, April 22, Wait! has been invited by Renault Italy to try the green vehicle most awaited of the moment: Renault Twizy. Kissed by the sun (after days of cold and rain) we drive for Milan with an exceptional “partner”: Vanessa Incontrada.

For those who don’t yet know, Twizy is a “minicar” 100% electric. The dimensions are extremely contained: 234 centimeters in length, a width of 124 and 146 in height. But the accessibility is (tested) very easily. The basic version is free of the doors but you can purchase (as an optional) two half-doors that open like butterfly wings . The Twizy has an electric motor available with two power levels: the access model, Twizy 45, with 9 horses that you may already drive at 14 years with the license, and another version  with 17 horses, that takes 16 years and A1 license or 18 years and B license. The maximum speeds are, respectively, of 45 and 80 km/h. The transmission is obviously automatic and without lever: there is a panel on the board on which you can select the forward or backward. In front of the wheel, a digital instrument combines odometer, speedometer, remaining range and the econometer that helps to drive in “green” style. The declared autonomy is 100 km and the charging is super-fast: plug in the integrated three meters wire to a 220V household socket and the full is done in three hours. The price? From 6,990 euros.

What about my test? I’m not quite an expert about cars, but Twizy very excited me. Small, quick, responsive, and, something that has affected everyone, quiet. The guide is really nice, and the silence of the engine reminds us that we are doing that without polluting. A feeling, seeing is believing, truly unique.
