CAMPAIGN: WWF “UN MARE DI OASI PER TE”

WWF Italia lancia la nuova campagna “Un mare di oasi per te”, una ‘sfida blu’ che nelle prossime tre settimane chiede l’aiuto degli italiani per proteggere tre preziose aree costiere in Sardegna, Puglia e Veneto, e trasformare questi delicati ecosistemi al confine tra la terra e il mare in nuovi baluardi di natura protetta che tutti potranno conoscere e frequentare.

Dal 29 aprile al 20 maggio tutti potranno partecipare inviando un sms o chiamando il 45503 oppure recandosi presso le filiali e gli sportelli automatici (ATM) Unicredit di tutta Italia (dal 14 al 27 maggio).

Una campagna che nasce  “sotto il segno del fratino”, con le immagini dei primi pulcini di questo piccolo e raro uccello che nidifica sulle spiagge, nati proprio in questi giorni lungo la costa di Martinsicuro (Teramo) in Abruzzo, un simbolo della meraviglia di natura che può vivere su un litorale in salute e rispettato.

“I pochi chilometri di coste italiane che sono sopravvissuti alla mano dell’uomo conservano fragili ecosistemi di dune, spiagge, delta fluviali e boschi costieri popolati da migliaia di specie animali e vegetali, come fenicotteri, fratini, volpi, anfibi e tartarughe marine – ha detto Fulco Pratesi, presidente onorario del WWF Italia – Ma senza una quotidiana azione di tutela questi preziosi ritagli di natura rischiano di soccombere a un utilizzo sempre più sconsiderato del territorio e del mare. Per questo, memori della grande mobilitazione che l’anno scorso ci ha consentito di salvare due nuovi boschi, ci appelliamo alla generosità degli italiani e al loro amore per il mare e la natura, per coinvolgerli in un nuovo ambizioso progetto di tutela che con l’aiuto di tutti potrà dare nuova vita a tre bellissime aree tra terra e mare, vitali, protette e aperte alla fruizione di tutti.”

WWF Italia launches a new campaign ”A sea of oasis for you”, a “blue challenge” that in the next three weeks requests the aid of Italians to protect three precious coastal areas in Sardinia, Puglia and Veneto, and transform these fragile ecosystems on the border between land and sea in the new bastions of protected nature that everyone will know and attend.

From April 29 to May 20 everyone will participate by sending a text message, by calling 45503 or by going to the branches and automatic  machines (ATM) of Unicredit throughout Italy (from May 14 to 27).

A campaign that was born ”under the sign of the fratino”, with images of the firstchicks of this small and rare bird that nests on beaches, born in these days along the coast of Martinsicuro (Teramo) in Abruzzo, a symbol of the wonder of nature that can live on a coastline, healthy and respected.

“The few kilometers of Italian coastline that survived to hand of man preserved fragile ecosystems, dunes, beaches, river deltas and coastal forests populated by thousands of plant and animal species, such as flamingoes, plovers, foxes, seaturtles amphibians - has said Fulco Pratesi, honorary president of WWF Italy - but without a daily action to protect these precious scraps of nature it risks of succumb to an increasingly reckless use of land and sea. Therefore, mindful of the great mobilization with that last year we were able to rescue two new forests, we appeal to the generosity of the Italians and their love for the sea and nature, to involve them in an ambitious new project to protect this three beautiful areas between land and sea. ”
